I was hired to design two competing themes for St. Louis Ovarian Cancer Awareness’s annual family race. As is tradition, the two themes that I designed went to a vote among participants and the winning design is used on racers' t-shirts, as well as all promotional materials leading up to and at the race event.

This project presented some enjoyable challenges: besides the required colors and symbols that needed to be included, there is a history of designs from past races that this year’s two designs need to be differentiated from. In addition, the t-shirts from each race are often kept by participants, sometimes even sewn into memory quilts, so there was pressure to make something special.
